ARS § 41 – 792. D. mandates the Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) to approve all state agency leases for privately owned office space. The Board of Regents is responsible for approving state university leases.
The Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) is responsible for the allocation of space, operation, alteration, renovation, and security of its state-owned space in the Capitol Mall, Phoenix, Tucson, and Kingman.
A state agency using space in a building that is owned or leased to the state pays rent to ADOA for deposit to the Capital Outlay Stabilization Fund (COSF) or makes lease-purchase payments pursuant to A.R.S. §41-792.01, unless otherwise exempted by statute.
Arizona Department of Administration Asbestos Containing Materials Notification
Contractors are on notice that asbestos containing materials (ACM) are present in buildings owned and operated by the Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA). Where ACM are not previously identified by inspection reports, Contractors must assume that all building materials, except for unpainted wood, metal or glass, are ACM.
Planning & Construction Services (PCS) manages the ADOA Building System’s building inspections, review of construction contracts, capital budget recommendations, building renewal allocations, state wide private space leasing program, tenant improvements, and monuments and memorials.
